Early Jack personality exploration.
I've been experimenting with color lately. It's definitely one of my weaknesses. Specifically I've been experimenting with hue-shifts within different areas of my designs. While this has really pushed me out of my comfort zone, it has also, as someone helpfully pointed out to me, made my work a little muddy. I think it's most obvious in Jack's face.
In thinking about this, I've come to the conclusion that hue shifts should help to comunicate form (warm/cool relationships etc...) or subtly create interest. If the purpose is to create interest, perhaps the shifts should be more gradual so as to be interesting without becoming distracting. And that theory is subject to change too. I'm interested in hearing any other thoughts on the subject.
